The
De Clerck family has belonged to the brewers' corporation for years. 1774
is the date of the creation of the small brewery by Jan De Clerck, next
to his farm, in a small village in Flanders, near Hazebrouck. Since then,
the De Clerck Breweries have been run whitout discontinuance. In 1926, Pierre De Clerck bought the brewery of Péronne: It is now run by Michel De Clerck, the brewmaster and his wife Eliane De Clerck. The De Clerck beers are produced according to the process of bottom fermentation and belong to the lager type. Brought to maturation for 2 months in secondary fermentation vats, they offer the required flavour and mellowness to the connoisseurs. Colvert: Blonde lager, 7% alcool, very mellow and souple. Fanette: Gold lager, 6% alcool, "malty taste". Belle Siska: Ambre beer, 7% alcool, caramel taste. Blanche de Péronne: White wheat beer, 4,1% alcool, very thirstquenching. Xmas beer, and "spring beer" are two season-beers, produced in November for Xmas time, and in April for spring-time. |
